Built to be usable by everyone.

We believe compliance resources should be accessible to every person who needs them, regardless of ability.

How we build for accessibility.

WCAG 2.1 AA target. We design and test against the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines 2.1 Level AA success criteria. This is our baseline, not our ceiling.

Semantic HTML. We use proper heading hierarchy, landmark regions, and ARIA attributes where native semantics aren't sufficient.

Keyboard navigation. All interactive elements are reachable and operable via keyboard. Focus states are visible.

Color and contrast. Text meets WCAG contrast ratios. We don't rely on color alone to convey information.

Alt text. Images include descriptive alternative text. Decorative images are marked as such.

Where we're still improving.

We're honest about gaps. Some areas of the site present accessibility challenges we're actively working on:

  • 01 Data visualizations and interactive maps may not be fully accessible to screen readers. We provide text alternatives where possible.
  • 02 Complex compliance data tables can be difficult to navigate. We're working on improved table markup and summary descriptions.
  • 03 Some third-party embedded content may not meet our accessibility standards.
